A Sigma Gent, wasn't he?
A great loss indeed... "I Stand Accused" was the joint!

I think you're thinking of Will Downing. Will is a Sigma Gent. I never heard of Isaac Hayes being one (may he rest in peace).

Sorhors,

Yes, Isaac Hayes was made a Sigma Gent at the Greensboro, N.C. regional conference when Soror Helen Owens was International Grand Basileus and it was a wonderful event. May he rest in peace.

Thanks for that primary source information, SeriousSigma22. I knew I remembered that detail because I'm sure I saw a picture in a past Aurora.

The world has lost a great talent and a beautiful spirit. Interesting that some people will associate him as the voice of Chef on "South Park" before his music. I actually heard a clip played in a NPR news story where they interviewed Steven Ivory about him. You know they played his music first.

May he rest in peace.
