Thumbs down Mos Def's Cool Factor Has Plummeted to ZERO

He has 6 kids from 4 different women.

And he allegedly married his ex-wife (who was a stripper and a 7th grade drop-out) in 2005 after knowing her for 3 days.

The ex-wife wrote a tell-all.

She can write??

Seriously, I'm disappointed to hear that about Mos Def. He always seemed so solid to me. Now he just reminds me of my high school boyfriend who has 6 kids from 6 different women and allegedly got married to a high school dropout who also has a slew of out of wedlock kids.

Yes...yes....

That's why this thread is really about Mos Def's cool factor plummeting to ZERO.

Maxwell can only be Senusret's hubby, though.

Maxwell's fine self is toooo talented to not be giving us an album and tour dates. I loved his nerdy looking self on the BET Awards. That sexy spin.

That's crazy. A woman at my church in Cali has an ex who has 6 kids from 6 different women. Hers is like kid #4 or something.

Mos, you're breaking my heart. But you're still the man. Just her man...and hers...and maybe her over there...

Seriously! Here are two of my favorite quotes from the article:

Quote:
"Wyatt-Smith would prefer to distance her book from that of [Karrine] Steffans and [Carmen] Bryan, insisting that it’s not an exposé, because she disguises the identities of the bulk of her lovers. (Another key difference is that the Americans’ books were released by reputable publishing houses and consequently don’t suffer the errors in spelling, grammar and coherency that plague her self-published narrative)."
Quote:
Toronto-born of Italian and Jamaican parentage, Wyatt-Smith reveals a hard knocks start that found her on her own at 13 and sucked into a fast lifestyle for survival. She said she supports herself now with “odd jobs here and there, hosting,” but is taking a writing course in hope of reinventing herself as an author and journalist. She also fancies herself a motivational speaker with a story she believes is tailor-made for Oprah Winfrey, Tyra Banks and her holy grail — Dr. Phil, despite Internet naysayers who brand her a gold-digger.
I'll give her credit that anyone can become a motivational speaker if they are honest and real with their story that can motivate others. If she experienced incest, sexual abuse, and relationship abuse, she could very well speak on a variety of topics. However, I'm just not cool with her using her marriage to Mos Def as a her springboard to her motivational speaking career.

But self-publishing the book with a 7th Grade education? Iono....

I'm crying, and not on the inside. Mos was supposed to be my future husband. I just can't handle the six kids, with 4 women. Le sigh, there goes another dream.
