The First 48 hours

Sorhors and friends,

This is just a comment/observation:

Every night for the past 5 months I've had to watch at least one of The First 48 Hours episodes. That show is no joke - and folks are out there just killing people over the saddest issues. Moreover, so many lives are destroyed after the killings and I can't get over the fact that many of the killers are teenagers.

I'm also addicted to Criminal Minds, Forensic Files on Tru TV, Law and Order CI
I don't think I've watched a sitcom in a long time - Are there any real sitcoms out there for folks to watch?

I find it very, very hard to watch The First 48. Real-life detective work is challenging, sad, and sometimes demoralizing -- especially when you SEE these young corpses out in the street and the next day the neighborhood won't "snitch."

Strangely enough, I am addicted to Intervention and Lockup.

I'm addicted to this show. I was particularly hurt by an episode I watched where a kid got killed over a $20 bag of pot.

I am a fan of The First 48. I'm always curious to see exactly how the detectives solve the case. Most of those killings are completely senseless and I feel sad seeing people's lives ended. Did anyone see the one where a man hit a woman with his car and dragged her up and down the street?

I usually can't watch it when I am eating because it will make my stomach turn.

Addicted, too!

I stay away from the First 48 because the few episodes I saw curiously seemed to be in Miami. . . and the news down here beats us up enough showing who's killed who over whatever foolishness. But I TOTALLY LOVE Cold Case Files! The bad guy never gets away on Cold Case Files, even if it's thirty years later!

I watch the First 48 religiously. It is a great way to dissect how detectives get the suspects to confess. I hate to see the death notifications...they are so sad, especially when the victim is young

I also watch Cold Case Files and I like the new show "Crime 360" The 3-D imagery used to recreate the crime scene and explain how evidence is processed is really interesting.

I'm also a big fan of cold case files. It's true, they never get away with the crime forever.

So true folks "The First 48" just pulls you in and the show is so intense - I really have a hard time turning away. The damage and lose to all parties involved - all of their lives are destroyed with no real solutions for anyone.

I also like "Intervention" but have to admit that I want to smack the living #$%# out of some of the addicts. I admire the counselors and intervention leaders.

Its usually Miami or Memphis on that show, with a smattering of everywhere else.
