Service to the Fraternity....and one brother in particular.

Ok, call this a shameless plug, but I'm reaching out only in the bonds of brotherhood.

I am scheduled to do my 10th (yes, 10th) Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. I did my first one in DC in 2000 and have either walked or crewed one a year ever since. Some years, I was crazy and doubled up in different cities!

Having exhausted my family members' wallets, I'm turning to my brothers. Since I'm having shoulder surgery on the 26th of this month and ankle surgery some time in April, I'm not actually walking this one, but will be part of the Medical team, transporting people to and from non-emergency medical stations. As a crew member, I'm not required to raise any money, but I like to try and do so anyway, so I can make an additional contribution.

This year, I've set my goal pretty low - $500. Some years, I've raised 10x that much...sometimes, just around $2000, which is around the requirement for walkers. But, as I've only got about 7 weeks to raise the money, I thought I'd aim a bit lower.

I know there are a lot of brothers out there....and a lot of GSS sisters, too. And some of you might even be participating in one of these walks yourself. But if you're not, and you'd be willing to make a tax deductible contribution, I'd be thrilled! Anyone who sends me a donation will have their name written on my training shirt, which I wear all the time. I'll also add A Phi O and your chapter, so the entire weekend people will be able to see how amazing A Phi O brothers (and Gamma Sig sisters) are.

If you're willing to make a donation, please PM me for instructions on how to post it to my page with the Avon Walk group or for my address to mail a check.

Thanks in advance......
