Angry Car breakdowns

Ib had to put out $400 dollars for a wheel axel and wheel berring on my car. So I ask all of you, what is the worst thing you ever had to fix on your car?

My car I had while in college had over 100,00 miles on it. It was a hand me down from my older sister. Anyway, it got me through college and into my first year of grad school. I had to end up getting the engine REBUILT. That lasted about a year. The mechanic informed us that it was best to trade it in for something else, cause I needed a new motor or he would rebuild the same one again. To rebuild would cost about 1 grand. So, I got another one. I put OVER 120,000 miles on that one from 94-99, then I got my latest vehicle, it now has 48,000 miles. I LOVE THE ROAD!

I have some "breakdown" stories in my time.

IT IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KEEP UP WITH YOUR MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE.

ALSO, JUST BECAUSE YOU PURCHASE A "NEW" CAR DOESN'T MEAN YOU WILL BE FREE FROM HEADACHES!

On my way to college (Freshman Year) the timing belt broke on my car. I sat on the side of the freeway for 3 hours waiting for someone to help... I was also 4 days late getting to school

A couple years later my engine just stopped working... I had forgot to put oil in it (oops) and had to replace the engine.

Faced with the Divine, I was asked; "What one gift do you seek?"
I answered ever so meekly; "I seek Honor, Truth, Integrity, and Wisdom, yet those are four. How am I to choose?"
The answer came as a pounding whisper; "The four you seek are but one. I grant thee Compassion; for without it the four make none."

Exclamation

sorta-related issue:

I was talking to my friend yesterday, asking how her weekend went, when she told me the story.
She hadn't seen her boyfriend in some while (as we're both in school, and he wasn't) so they were going out to dinner to spend some 'together' time
He drives
Everything is good, dinner is great
They 'go back to her place'
to see mass quantities of car cops around her place
She gets nervous, and runs up to her apmt only to find her car in her yard
smashed to pieces
So the cops are like 'Is this your car, blah, blah..'

a drunk driver had been on the road
smashed into 5 cars and kept going each time
hers was the worst
and 2 little boys (12yrs old)
chased him down and got his L.P.#

it's just funny cause everything will get payed for, just she'll be w/o a car
and she was all like 'If only I had driven..'

it really was sad - yet frightfully ironic (and a touch comical)
