PEO Sisterhood Chapters in Detroit Metro Area

If any one knows of the PEO Chapters in the detroit metropolitan area,

would you be so kind as to provide the location and or phone numbers. If

need be you can send me a PM with the details. I am currently enrolled in

my senior year of college, and I am interested in finding a sponsor for a

scholarship. Also I would like to know more info about possibly becoming a

member.

P.E.O. is very particular about the information that it gives out. Your best bet is to contact their headquarters and give them your information to forward to a chapter near you. Good luck.

I contacted the Headquarters before I ran across this message board. They instructed me to find out about chapters and sponsors in my area through word of mouth. But what I didn't do was find out if they would accept my info and pass it along. Thanks for responding and giving me another avenue to start at. Two heads are better than 1 !!

I just reviewed their site again, to try and submit my info to them. Unfortunately they don't accept information to pass along to chapters. It's all about who you know. I've tried asking people @ two different colleges about PEO, but no one seems to be aware of it. Guess its back to the drawing board for me

Here's an excerpt from one of my emails:

There are P.E.O. chapters in all 50 US states and in 5 Canadian provinces.

In order to protect the privacy of our members, we do not give out member or chapter information. It is suggested that by “word of mouth” you try to locate a P.E.O. member in your area. This may be through any types of groups or organizations you belong to, your place of employment, place of worship, etc.

This office is unable to match students with P.E.O. chapters or provide information on local P.E.O. members/chapters.

Sorry to hear that. P.E.O. is pretty low key but in the town I lived before, they were a tad more visible. Good luck with your pursuit.

Thanx 4 wishing me luck I have another sorrority in mind as well. So i guess whoever I can get in contact with 1st, will be the route I take.
