Post Worst Movie to win Best Film

I would have to say, without a doubt, TITANIC!!!!! Acting wasn't great and I waited an hour and a half to watch the boat sink. Somebody shoot me.

Red face

I completely disagree! I loved Titanic and the work that the special effects department put into the film was astounding. It set all kinds of new records in the film industry. I was very impressed and it's still one of my favorite movies. (Of course, I was always a Titanic buff, even before the movie came out.)

Wink

Practically no one will disagree that the special effects, soundtrack, etc were exceptional. I just found the plot trite, the character development extremely two dimensional and the acting sub-par. Take away the sinking boat, historical signifigance, and emotional manipulation and you are left with a basically horrible movie. IMHO.

Thank you, finally somebody else thinks that that movie was the worst ever. It is not like it was a suprise that the boat sank.

Cool

I've gotta agree that Titanic sucked royally. Other than the eye-candy, it was a crappy romance novel stretched into a 30 hour long (or so it seemed) movie
