Little Sisters in Fraternities

I know this has been discussed before, but I searched and couldn't find anything, so bear with me.

I believe that the IFC banned the process because it hurts the Greek system's status of same-sex organizations. HOWEVER...was it actually banned by the NPC too, or is it just banned by the IFC? I looked on the NPC website, and found...absolutely nothing.

If you know anything, please let me know! Thanks!

The NPC didn't do anything but "strongly discourage" it. I didn't think the IFC outright banned it, either (it's my understanding that the IFC really can't make rules like that).

Each sorority has its own rules - some say a member of ABC may not be a little sister, some just strongly discourage it. It varies from group to group.

33girl was right about the NPC strongly discouraging it. There was no formal resolution, but if it's storongly discouraged by your HQ, I don't know why anyone would go against that.

And as an FYI, here is the NIC's resolution regarding little sister groups.

IIRC as this goes back a long ways, part of it was also related to RM.
No matter what the reason(s), something to be missed.
I just called my Big Sister (Little Sister of the Chapter) to wish her a very
happy Birthday.
