How stressful is your job?

If you could rank the stress level of your job from 1-10, 10 being the most stressful, what number would you give yours and why?

My job is not that stressful at all. I would give it a 3. The only time it gets a little annoying is when I have 3 lines ringing at the same time. Other than that it's easy, and stress free.

I'm a television director.

The stress level goes from about 2 to about 38.

Unhappy Sucks to be me...

I am a Ph.D. Molecular Geneticist in Hypertension Research. I am a 100 in terms of stress. I am working on mindfulness meditation, eating right, and slowly becoming a painkiller-alcoholic. No really, I am seriously reconsidering my position because my health is affected now.

Mine is a...2...then again, I'm working at Wal Mart full time, while going to school full time, while doing...everything else. Only reason it's a 2 is because if I mess up and lose my job, then, I have 1 month before I can't pay rent.

Depends on the season. If it is program evaluation month, the stress level climbs up to around 8. Otherwise it is around a 5 or 6. Of course, rough customers can bring it up to 10.

6... My boss always wants backup for the backup for the backup. We can't simply just turn in a report. Every report must have figures, dates, averages, highs, lows, Y-T-D totals, inception totals, etc...and all of that has to be backed up by other reports. You get a stack of paper 3 inches thick for one report. It's not hard, just annoying to put together.

well for my day job as an accts payable administrator (or whatever BS title they give me) it goes from like a 2- 8 or so... Most of the time, its stress free, but sometimes, when dealing with vendors or having to investigate payments, fees or dealing with any of our leases... it definately gets to me.... besides I hate what I do... so that doesn't help...

as a waitress? it goes from a 2-10 some nights. With a few tables, its easy, relaxed, etc... but if i can't get in the zone.... definately a 10.. then i'm running around like an idiot.

i feel you. my day job is pretty low stress. people are nice enough because they NEED me. when people act up, i walk away, so i guess it's a 3 most days on a scale of 1 to 10. the day it hits 5 is the day i leave, LOL. the low stress day job is the ONLY way i have the energy/desire to continue with my night job.

the night / seasonal job is photography. screaming kids should be stressful, but they're not. it's their snotty parents who try to run my shoot. i'm all for suggestions but for real, you came to me because you want PROFESSIONAL photos done. if not, stay at home and break out your kodak 110 and leave me alone. most nights my stress from that job is a 5. occasionally hitting a 7, but only because people are stressed by the time they get to the studio and they wont let themselves relax, then they try to transfer that stress to me.

nothing brings out the pageant mommy in me like a photography session...that 15 minute drive there can result in dirty clothes, crying for no reason, bad attitudes...its like they know how to ruin the picture before they get there lol! after you tack on the initial time for bathing and an hour for hair your nerves are SHOT!!! still, i try not to have an attitude about it. its my childs fault, not yours!

My daughter is usually a happy, laughing child, and she loves for her "Bama" (what she calls grandma) to take her picture...but you get her in front of a professional camera, and she looks like someone just kicked her puppy.

wow IDK you totally are my BFF (the "D" in this case stands for definitely)
this is the epitome of my job. and my ex-boss had the heaviest Indian accent - so anytime i hear the word "backup" i hear his thick azz voice screaming, "where is the backup??!!!!!?"
