Let him go. Set him free. You are headed into a "domestically violent" relationship. Move on so that you have meet someone worthy of your wonders...

And GC is not a crisis center. You need to talk to somebody. There are a few GCers that are crisis counselors, but you need to ask them if they are willing to assist you.

I agree with AKA Monet. Get rid of him.

I hate guys that run away from arguments.

I'd talk to him about it when he's calm and you guys aren't in any sort of a fight...Have you already tried to do that? If so, it's a tough call...He probably just doesn't really like confrontation and doesn't want to say something he might regret...Try and talk to him about it when you both are calm...If that doesn't work, you should probably leave him. A person not willing to talk about problems in a relationship is a person not fit for a relationship...thats my opinion

if he runs away when you have arguments, he has the problem solving skills of a child. he's too afraid and immature to deal when you guys fight clearly, so i say ditch him. otherwise you're just going to prolong the misery and uncertainty.

How long does he go away for? You should ask him where he goes - very strange.
