Lightbulb Napster

How do you guys feel about it? Personally, I'm not going to pay $$ to SHARE files with other people. It sucks.

Well, even though I like the service. I'm not going to pay for it. I'm also not going to complain about it, since what I use it for isn't legal anyway.

Even though many musicians, like metalica and britney spears, tend to get wealthy from record sales, I don't agree with their music being free--I don't care where you get it. Those people worked hard to get where they are, and whether or not they are millionaires doesn't mean a thing. So, to make a long story short, I think it's right that people pay for the music if they get it from napster. I could, however, see it to be fine if the musicians agree that napster can release their music for free--written permission of course. If an artist wants this service to continue, hey, let them give out their music, but for those who want the public to pay for it, then it should be payed for.

I've never used Napster myself, but I have several friends who use it quite a bit. I probably would feel bad if I used it for free, but if there were a fee--say $1.00 per song--then I would have no problem paying that. I mean, I pay $12-15 now for a CD that has 12 songs, 3 or 4 of which I listen to regularly. If I could burn my own CD with 15 of my favorite songs, I would pay $15 for that in a second.
