.....I just can't help it, WE WON!!

Oh my goodness, I was on that field two minutes after they called the game!! There were oranges everywhere!! I've never heard the Pride of Oklahoma play with such vitality!

BOOMER SOONER!

H-O-K-I-E-S Hokies!!!!! We won today too, without our two 'stars' I might add. And that game was a THRILLER!! WOO HOO!

Sooners- I'm glad they won too, because Nebraska fans (usually) get on my nerves. I was also glad when OU beat Kansas St. (who it SEVERLY) overrated. Hopefully we'll see you sooners in the Orange Bowl! (Don't let your britches get too big yet though, cause you're probably going to have to play Nebraska again!!)

I am a loyal HUSKER fan, but I must say that Oklahoma played a great game.

*SIGH* as a University of Texas fan who was bitter for weeks about the TX/OU game this year, I have to confess that Oklahoma is really kicking @$$ and taking names this year!!!!

But, I was actually pulling for Nebraska yesterday - here's why: OU is going to the Big XII division game for the South, no doubt. AND, you're most likely going to see Nebraska again for the North. AND, when Texas was in the exact same position last year (we beat Nebraska in Austin, then met them in the title game), we got SMEARED in San Antonio. Nebraska does not forget quickly - they were out for blood.

So.... since I want OU to win the conference, I was actually pulling for the Huskers yesterday. Make sense??

Thumbs up

Stoops' troops have a tough road ahead in facing Nebraska, to be sure. To be completely honest, I wasn't sure that we could win against Nebraska. But oh my, what a game! They team is really making people sit up and take notice.

It'll be exciting to see how it all turns out!

BOOMER SOONER!!

Someone beat me to this!!! *grin*

I graduated almost 4 years ago and i have never seen Norman in such a form, it made me wish i was still in school! A friend told me that around the dorms, cars were honking boomer sooner. And all it took was your hand with a finger raised to the sky to get every car within eye shot honking their horns before AND after the game! While I didn't go to the game, i was glad to have been in the town for the game. Anyone for some creamed corn?

Best of Luck to our Sooners as they finish out the rest of the season and shoot for the orange bowl!

I had to bump this just because this was one of the best football games I remember watching. It was OU's 2000 season -- the previous season was 7-5 and the seasons before that weren't even worth remembering. OU won the championship that year.

Seeing this thread brings back such good memories.
