Auburn University
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on what fraternity to pledge in the Fall. I've heard great things about some and not so great about others. Any tips on getting a bid?

The best thing to do is go through Rush and see if there is a fit between the GLOs and yourself.
Being a legacy is not everythig. Good luck with your quest!

I can't tell you what fraternity to choose over others for several reason. Fraternties can be very different from one chapter to another. The only way to do it in my opinion is to go through rush and figure out which house fits you best. I garauntee nearly every house at your campus will have different attitudes, interests, qualites, reputation, etc. It's all about finding where you fit in.
As for getting a bid, that shouldn't be a problem. Fraternities generally should be seeking you. All you have to do is show interest and the rest 'should' fall into place.

Auburn it's a bit of a different story. The men going through rush do more of the seeking out to get a bid to the top tier houses on this campus.

Yeah, you'll be sought after if you're a quality guy, but at Auburn (and other SEC schools) they're not gonna be knocking down your door.
