My older brother pledged AKPsi 9 years ago at a different college and I wanted to know whether this would be any advantage when i rush next semester. I do not know if he became a lifetime member after college either.

At my chapter it is not really a factor. I casually mentioned my mother was a founding father at another school, but I dont think it made a difference. Its just a cool fact.
