Minimum GPA for Winter Recruitment?
My college's Panhellenic Association states that the SCHOOL requires a PNM minimum GPA of a 2.0 to do formal recruitment in January, but that individual GLOs may have higher standards set by their HQs. The local chapter websites don't say anything about it. On the HQ websites, I could only find one group that published a specific minimum GPA for PNMs (it was higher than the school's minimum).
Can anyone provide the links to PiPhi, ChiO, DDD, KD, Theta, and DG? Thanks.

HIghly unlikely that you will find it. Call your PH office and ask them but you may find that it is not going to be released by the chapters.
Also, just because international says that the minimum GPA is x.xx, doesn't mean the individual chapter doesn't have a higher requirement in their bylaws.

If the school is 2.0, chapters may not be a lot higher than that. National limits are probably between 2.0 and 2.5 but that's really an educated guess on my part. The idea is, of course, that if you GPA is that low you probably need to be studying not joining another group. Going through recruitment (even if you GPA IS low) couldn't hurt but just be aware that your GPA could hurt you. If you have a reason for it being low (death in the family, medical issues, etc) it might help to casually make that known.

Drolefille,
Thanks for the advice! I couldn't agree more about prioritizing a college life.
Luckily my grades are fine. I'm just looking ahead at the competition for Recruitment. Lots of my classmates aren't having an easy time focusing their priorities and their midterms were not what they expected.

Does your greek life office publish a booklet detailing all of the sororities before recruitment starts? That should have minimum GPA's listed in it. Also, I echo what KunjaPrincess said, minimum GPA required to rush and pledge are two different things. For instance, at my school, the GPA required to be eligible for rush was 2.0, but all of the sororities had their own minimum GPA that was higher than that.

No, our Greek Life Office does not publish a booklet. Our Rho Chi didn't mention individual sorority GPAs either but I heard about it from my high school friends who are now at other colleges. The end of your quote

Call the school's Greek Life office and ask. That's probably your best way to find the information.

Usually the booklets are distributed at the begining of formal recruitment.
