Wink Hello, I just wanted to say Hi to all the Chi Omegas!

Hello! I am not a chi Omega (I'm in HS still!) but I just wanted to say, that when I go to College, I really hope to possibly be a Chi Omega! I"ll tell you why You guys sound really spirited and united, and I know about the Carol-and-her-daughter thing, and I thought it was cool how you guys handled it well. I know some Chi Omegas from HS (who are now freshmen in college)...and they are sooo sweet and really seem like true sisters. Plus I have read some of your postings in this forum and you guys sound so nice!

Sorry if I sound sappy!! just wanted to let you guys know, and keep up the good work!

Cool

I read your post and it just made me smile....I have a 2 year-old daughter and I am already slowly working on her....she knows the XO letters and she knows Mommy was one. I think it is great that there are HS kids out there who are aware of the greek system and looking ahead to getting involved in college. Unfortunately the greek system is falling apart at my alma mater, but if more of the HSers were like you maybe it wouldn't be!!! Good luck in your quest to become a sister, I hope it works out as you want.

Angry

Erika, please check out the Greek Life forum and you will find my post, titled "OH My goodness." I am feeling very violated and angry as of right now, to those ppl that will just not let that issue die. (The Carol thing) I feel like my thoughts are being watched and censored or something!!!!!! :*( . On the brighter side, Erika, I'm really excited about college, and about the Greek System!! My sister was a KD, and my friends, as I said earlier, are just really cool. Iam closest with the ones that went XO! I also have some DG, Kappa, and Tri-Delt friends, but only a few are in those. I hope your Alma Mater's Chapter remains steady, and I really hope things do get better at the Chapter!!!! BTW, that is so cute about your little daughter, she must be soome cutie!

Erika,

That is so cute that your daughter already knows XO letters. It reminds my of when my son was 3 years old. My mother was in town visiting another Alum (I might add one of the founding members of my chapter). Anyhow, both my son and I met my mother at her friends house. Of course, my son immediately identified the owl statue in my mother's friends living room along with the XO letters. Let me tell you how much two generations of Chi Omegas were beeming with pleasure.

Hey Newbie!! Do you know what college you're going to attend?? Good luck with everything!!

Erika, you're so funny!! I have a neice and I made her a "Chi Omega Loves Me" shirt...she also has owl stuffed animals!! I know my neice isn't a legacy, but I would still love it if she went Chi O one day!!

Hi May!

Nope I don't know yet...I am still a junior and I guess I might be overprepared about Greek Life! But I am probably going to stay in California...either attend one of the UC's or USC, or attend JC for two years and enter into a UC!

Thanks, good luck to your job-interviews too!!

Hi Amy!

Look for an email from me in a couple of days!! I haven't written it yet, becuase I think it might be a little long, and I don't want to delve into the academic-life-questions just yet, LOL I'm sorry that your USC Chapter closed. . My sister was a Kappa Delta at UCLA, and I think she had some Chi Omega friends as well! I think that she had said that they were really nice. I hope that you succeed in your quest to become an Advisor to the UCLA Chapter!

Love, Newbie

Hi Chi O's,

Just wanted to let y'all know that I am currently working with a Chi O alumna on a big philanthropy event in Atlanta that involves 19 Panhellenic sororities. This particular Chi Omega is the first one I've ever had the pleasure of meeting (we didn't have Chi O on our campus when I was in school). She is awesome: outgoing, friendly, and possesses a great sense of humor. I must say, if you are all like that, then you are truly a wonderful group of ladies! I look forward to meeting more of you!

Carrie

Well I'm sure hands down both sororities excell in wonderful ways. And you seem like a very wonderful and classy woman so I'm sure the Chi-O's have good competition.

Glad to know that you guys like Theta, too! By far, Theta and XO at my school are the closest sororities. I have many friends in XO, and they have NEVER failed to be there for me....no matter HOW late...I have been known to page one of them early in the morning for one of my "crises." LOL We and XO are always competing...for the most spirit, for the best grades, for athletics, etc. BUT no matter the competition, we have always made it a friendly one! After the competition (after Rush, Greek Week, etc...), we always support each other, and we have both stood up for each other when other orgs bad-mouthed us. I also have never heard any gossip about us from XO. I am so proud that us two orgs. have been able to friendly compete...because I think competition is healthy if done right, and can only benefit a person/organization!

And what's ironic is that other sororities on our campus have had "bad" competition amongst themselves...yet I hear that us two are the most respected/popular. So that is great, because I hate dirty competition! Nice to talk to you ladies!
