DU House
Yesterrday, I decided to drive to Denver for the afternoon to go check out the house at DU. After driving around for awhile and not seeing the house, I decided to stop at Subway for lunch. I happened to be wearing one of my rush shirts, and two guys ask me about it and said that they were Alumi for DU and also brothers. I then asked them if anyone was at the house for the summer and they said that they were getting ready to tear down the house and build a new one. So the when i got back to my barracks, I went on their web site and found more info about the chapter and the house project.

I am glad that they have such a good relationship with DU. I hope they have a good long relationship that stays well.

Have they already torn down the old house? Wow. I'll have to check on that when I'm in Denver later this week.
I recognize quite a few names on the list of participants/donors in the campaign plan. I'm sure they will pull it off - and they'll have the nicest house a brother could dream of!

Demolition began on Saturday, July 29, 2006 and should be completed by Tuesday, August 1. Site clearance should be completed on or about August 15, 2006.

Quite a loss
I visited the old Denver house in '84 and '85. It was quite a place. No doubt the new digs will be nice indeed, but your old house had character that can never be replaced.

I have to agree with brother John....I visited DU around 1990. I hope
they don't replace it with an 'ugly box' (modern 'functional' architecture).
Would be a shame.
