China Pattern Help

My mom's china patter (Mikasa Floral Festival) has been retired for several years. She has all of the place setting pieces, but is missing serving pieces. For her upcoming birthday, I wanted to surprise her and get her some serving pieces. However, this has proven to be quite difficult since neither the Mikasa outlet, Replacements, or any major china store has anything in that pattern. Does anyone know of any places that sell discontinued china pieces or has anyone seen the pattern anywhere? It is white with a pale green line around the border and violets and pansies and some other flowers as well around the border.

I'd try other manufacturers, or even other names of the patterns. If you have a photo, email a copy to Replacements - they have many patterns of china named Floral Festival, just not by Mikasa! One is Mitani Floral Festival, and the one piece they have listed seems to meet your description:

And there's a piece of the Mitani on ebay:

It's a beautiful pattern, if this is it! I recently heard something about Mikasa's history, and it didn't start out as an original manufacturer, it started as a clearing house of sorts. That's why I think trying other manufacturers may help you. Good luck!

I actually called Replacements and gave them both the pattern name and number. They said that haven't carried it, but took down my contact information so if they do get it, they will call me. The pattern you showed me is sort of similar to my mom's. Amazon.com has 9 serving pieces listed in that pattern and they are all out of stock. After some searching, I found out that it's still a fairly new pattern, it was produced in 2000.

FYI, I checked the following ebay stores for your mother's pattern, to no avail (as of today). I've often found unlisted pieces in the stores, but not in the general search engine. You can access them through ebay stores:

China from Wales
Collingwood Fine China
Diamond Collectables
The Dish Lady
Flamingo Antiques and Collectibles
Heritage House Tableware
Rebecca and Simon's Collectables
Replacements for Your Tabletop

By when do you need this? I'm having some things appraised in the next week or two, and I can ask then, too.

Thank you. My mom's birthday is July 13th so I know I won't have it by then, but if you see anything ever please let me know, I really wanna help her complete her collection.
