GST Going Down...

The new Canadian Federal budget has just been released - as of July 1, we now only have to pay 6% GST, so happy birthday...

From the CBC
_____________
The Conservative government used its first budget to follow through on several campaign promises, with initiatives that include reducing the GST and bringing in its monthly child-care allowance.

Good news for us, yes, but not necessarily for small businesses. According to media reports, many people aren't going to buy big items, such as TVs and computers until after July 1st, when the 6% takes effect. THis means that some stores, especially smaller ones, will lose business,.
