Essence Music Festival

Is anyone going to the Essence Music festival this year? Has anyone gone in past years? I am going to be leaving next Thursday and am looking forward to having a BLUEtiful time.

I went two years ago, and it was wonderful. The Superlounge acts were fabulous, as was the main stage and the seminars. Frankly I heard the crowd was a bit different last year, and not as mature. I'm not going this year, but a bunch of Sorors are planning on attending next year, since Boule is in New Orleans just a few days later.

I am just real excited about going to New Orleans because I have never been there before. Now I will be able to go two years in a row. If I have a good time, perhaps I will extend my time around Boule to go again.

Great music and networking event. Enjoy. Next year I plan to use the Essence Music Festival as a kickoff to my Boule attendance. I'm making plans to be in New Orleans from July 3-13. Fun! FUn! FUN!
