Bird Flu?

Is anyone aware of the severity of the Avian Influenza (bird flu)? I don't think people realize how serious this is or the possiblity that this can become an epidemic(Pandemic Flu)? I went online and there is a lot of information that you need to know that will be very helpful to you and your family. There is also a letter from the president addressing this issue(dated Nov2005?). You can find this on the website for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

chiiiilllleee,
i don't know how you contract all these things, but this is EXACTLY why i don't let people get all up on me in the public...half this stuff is airborne and the other half is in the water or the food...
might have to start wearing me a little mask over my face when i go out to the casino...
bird flu, west nile, sars, mad cow... and didn't they just document a new case of the bubonic plague?
(no lie, i SWORE i heard something to that effect on the news last week!)

Yeah, they did document a case in California, I believe. Fortunately it had not advanced to the stage where it becomes pneumonic plague, which is pretty much the black death type of situation (contagious and highly fatal).

AND there is a Mumps outbreak in the mid-west that's occurring in people that ARE vaccinated, in the 18-25 YO age group. Two of the cases were infectious during the time when they were traveling on 9 different commercial flights on 2 airlines.

Thumbs up I saw the movie

I saw the Movie on ABC and it totally scared me. Since I work with kids I have to wash my hands often and it really enforced how important it is.
