How long did the AI Process take you?
Because of Blue Angels idea I will start this one up.
My process was definately an exception to the rule. From initial contact with one of my sponsers to initiation was approximately 10 months.

For All New AI Posters, a lot depends on many things about how long it takes!
There have Been Many Who take a long time and some who take less!
It is and can be a very long time as an AI.
Never give up hope.
Alums take longer as Alums also have many other things to do.
There have been many AIs on GC and They will agree that it is a Much Hadder Process than just going though Collegiate Process!
Hope Is Eternal!

since I haven't been initiated yet, I guess some would consider it on going...but I did have my pleding ceremony in Oct 05.
I inquired back in 1998, but stopped the process and started up in 11/03....
But with Tri Sigma it started (again) in 11/04....
Since I don't have a date and I really don't think it will happen (initiation) until late 2006 or sometime in 2007....
Don't worry, I can still volunteer and do some things on the national & local level, which I have already done
Edited to add: The main reason it is taking me so long to get initiated is that there is no collegiate chapter near my area and we are waiting, because a National Officer must be present to confer the degree....I can wait as long as it takes....

But the norm for the ones our chapter has done.....

My process took 3 years-from meeting the girls to Initiation-but well worth the wait!!

For those who didn't read the other thread, I'll give you the Reader's Digest version.
Technically, it took more than 20 years *since I was a ZTA pledge in college.)
It was nearly three years from the time I wrote a letter to volunteer to help out the alumnae chapter (and having no idea there even WAS such a thing as AI) to my initiation. Zeta was the only GLO I pursued.

Mine is DEFINITELY an exception to the rule:
Initial contact with IHQ in late December (right after Christmas)
Initial contact with alumnae chapter in early to mid-January
Pledging ceremony in early February
Initiation on March 20th - and became an advisor a few weeks later!

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for posting this information. I'm going through the alumna initiation process now and I was really worried because it's been a few months. This thread will definitely help me stay positive and focused!

Overall the process lasted about 2.5 years. It's funny because I think if the current women who are in charge of the process for Tri Delta would have been the women who were in charge when I first inquired it think I would have had the quickest process on record, lasting about 2 months.

It took me nearly five years. Lots of starts and stops due to changes going on in my life and with some changes in officers responsible for AI within Tri Delta.
