He coached at Tampa as the Defensive line coach. Tampa has had arguably the best defenses during his tenure. He wasn't the D-coordinator, but his line has always been top notch.

Pretty unproven. Pretty much proves that the Lions are a bunch of cheap asses.

Lions fan still knows that Millen is the idiot.

Morninwheg was an offensive genius and now they hire a defensive genius. I hope this works out for them. Their defense isn't too bad besides needing a defensive end or two, it's their offense that really needs work. One good offseason might be enough to at least compete in the north.... then again its still the Lions.

He seems like one of those guys who is well-respected in coaching circles.

Reports are that Millen has made a few more enemies in the NFL with the way he handled the process. He'd better hope that he holds onto that Lions job, because I can't imagine he'd get another NFL job after this debacle.

None of the Lions coaches who've been let go have found other NFL jobs. I kind of feel sorry for this Marinelli guy because, in taking this job, his career is probably over... And yes, we all know Millen is the one who should be gone. And the Ford who owns the Lions has always been a cheapskate and has never been willing to pay the big bucks to recruit some really big name talent.

The Lions fans need to stop buying tickets and get rid of Millen.

Marinelli, your career is over bro. Matt Millen, you're embarrasing as a PSU alum.

It seems to me, though, that MM will just pay the fine and go on about his business. Clueless William Clay Ford is riding or dying with Millen.
