Recalculation of GPA gives Alpha Tau another Va. Tech Award
In regards to the highest overall GPA award: We found out recently that we had an error in our grade report from last fall. One, at the time a pledge, member got a 4.0 but had not been placed on the grade roster, so our GPA for that reporting period was low.
The good news was that we resubmitted the paperwork, and the 4.0 was enough to raise our 2004 GPA .005 points, to 3.409, enough to overtake Oklahoma State who falsely won at Convention by .002 points. The GF is sending the plaque sometime this semester. Oklahoma State does get to keep their award from the summer, and I doubt they know that they didn't actually win.
Given that our Spring 2005 GPA was 3.545, unless we had a total meltdown in the fall, I think we'll continue our streak this summer as well.
