Obviously the guys sing Magic Carpet Ride at parties at midnight.

Then they sing their chapter song, which is Crazy Game of Poker by OAR.

When I was an undergrad at UT-San Antonio, our chapter songs were (obviously) MCR, then we'd sing Billy Joel's Piano Man. If we were excpetionally drunk, we'd sing El Cancion del Mariachi by Los Lobos and Antonio Banderas (the song that is sung/played at the beginning of the movie Deperado (with antonio banderas and selma hayak) in spanish.

To this day people are suprised that this white kid can bust out the tunes en espanol.

We always sang some really goofy songs that we learned from 3 brothers from Arizona State when we met them in Tucson while we were all there for the Univ. of Arizona Lambda Chi chapter's Watermelon Bust. Mostly they were about drinking or doing other stupid stuff.

I always liked the Lambda Chi Alpha Darling song. I made myself learn it by listening to it over and over and over constantly until I knew it all. Unfortunately I was the ONLY guy from the chapter who knew it until one year a guy named Koy who had transferred from San Antonio also knew it. He and I sang it a few times to sororities and it made us look good. Hey, we loved it.

One of the brothers' girlfriends at the time (who shall go nameless) got all mad at her boyfriend because he'd never sang that song to her... heheheh...

Young men, there's no need to feel down
I said, young men, pick yourself off the ground
I said, young men, 'cause you're in a new town
There's no need to be unhappy

OH WAIT!!! I mean, um, uhhhhh, Magic Carpet Ride. Yeah, that's the ticket. Magic Carpet Ride.

What are songs that a chapter should NEVER sing together?

I'm voting for "Raining Men"

Hmmm...

Anyone notice that NO ONE has said anything about singing songs by John Tesh?

I knew my nameless brother was the only one buying those CDs (Alex, you're still a moron).
