Trans-Siberian Orchestra

Has anyone seen them? Anyone have their CD? I'm a huge fan of their version of Carol of the Bells and it's my current ring tone. I'm thinking about going to see them.

name sounds slightly familiar but I know nothing of this orchestra. Are they from Siberia or do they just travel through it?

I know nothing of them except they're an orchestra that uses more than just regular orchestra instruments, such as pianos and guitars... I think. I've heard a few songs and they're pretty cool.

Did I spell Syberian wrong? Is it Siberian?

if it's Siberia like the area in Russia...then yes, it's mispelled (just replace the y with an i. Unless it's a gimmick to the name of the orchestra)

I'm a huge TSO (fyi, the spelling is "Siberian) fan, have been for about 8 years. I've been to several concerts and have all the CDs.

Here are my sneaky pics I took this year

We were 5th row this year. Last year we were 2nd row, but we weren't as lucky this year.

They have one non-Christmas CD out so far called Beethoven's Last Night . They've finished ther CD called Nightcastles and it should be out this spring. They pretty much formed out of the metal group Savantage. They are incredbile.

They're definitely worth the $. Sorry the pics are so blurry, lights were flashing like crazy from the show, but we couldn't use flash or they'd take our cameras.

If you like their music, check out some of the bands the mebers of TSO are part of. My two favorites are ZO2 (David Z, the bass player's band) and Chris Caffery, the lead guitarist. I'm not normally into metal at all, but I enjoy them.

Here is a link to the current tour members' websites. There are 2 tours every year, east and west coast. I prefer the east coast band, but that's just me. They're both exceptional, though. Definitely amazing performers. The lights and lasers add so much to the music.

I saw them for the first time this year. Definitely a show to see. Lots of overload on the senses though. The first half of the show was a story (based off of the "Christmas Eve and other stories" album) and then music went with it. Some of it dragged a bit, but it picked up later. Second half of the show was a collection of holiday and Beethoven.

All I can say is their version of "Flight of the Bumblebee" is hilarious and so fun to watch.

Are there a few different groups, like the Rockettes? There has been advertising about them being in Detroit but none of their tour dates on the webpage are in Detroit.

OMG I love, love, love TSO. I have seen them in concert every year they have came to PHX for the last five years. (Although two years ago they didn't come to up here, they were in Tucson).

Their concert this year was just this past Friday and they played to a crowd of almost 11,000!!!!!

They actually stated that this crowd broke their records! They had never played to this big of a crowd before. I told my parents that they better expect even more next Christmas. LOL. (See last year they played at the Dodge Theater and it housed like 5000 and the concert was sold out, so I figure next Christmas their attendance will be more like 15,000).

I have all 4 albums thus far (Christmas Eve and Other Stories, The Christmas Attic, Beethoven's Last Night & The Lost Christmas). I am so excited for Nightcastles to come out. They played some songs from it, their Carmina Burana rendition was AMAZING!!!!

I'm such a dork.
