Favorite 90's Alternative Bands!
I was wondering if anybody else here is still obsessed with 90's alternative. Some of my favorite bands growing up
Beulah, Beck, Better than Ezra, Bush, Smashing Pumpkins, Toadies, Sponge, Radiohead, Nirvana, Bjork, Hole, Marilyn Manson, The Gin Blossoms, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, Nada Surf.......
The list can go on and on.

90's alternative is some of the best stuff around! I'm a huge Radiohead fan, along with Better Than Ezra, Beck, Angie Aparo , Primative Radio Gods, I just love it all. I'm not a big grunge fan, though.

I just pulled out my Smashing Pumpkins CDs the other day!
My copy of MC & IS got scratched (both discs) by the CD player I had at the time and I never bought another copy.

I LOOOOOVE Bush!! Aww *TEAR* I miss my middle school days when everyone was soo in love with Bush. Weezer was cool too.
Is Savage Garden considered an "Alternative Band?" I loved them also.
BTW: I saw where the OP wrote "Sponge, Radiohead" and I though it said Spongebob Radiohead...I was like WTF??

<----- HUGE '90s music fan.
I LOVE Nirvana! Some of my other favorites are the Chili Peppers, REM, Bush, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, pretty much the groups everybody else has mentioned here already.
Soundgarden, STP, Seven Mary Three, Candlebox, Blind Melon.
I really liked Collective Soul's first album, but then they got all mainstream after that, almost like adult easy-listening or something.
My favorite Lenny Kravitz cd is the one from '92 (or was it '93?) w/ "Are You Gonna' Go My Way?" on it.
I wasn't a big fan of the Goo-Goo Dolls, but I did like a few of their songs.
I still like Green Day, but my favorite stuff of theirs is from the '90s. Also, I don't like anything from Dave Matthews after "Crash."
Can't forget about Cake!
Fiona Apple, Less Than Jake, The Cranberries, Nine Inch Nails.
I really could go on for a while!

90s Alternative was so good that it became mainstream and then it wasn't truly alternative anymore...
