One of these days, I'm going to get around to reading the theories about this. I can't help but wonder, though, why other buildings -- ones that weren't hit by aircraft, etc. -- fell.
I suppose there could be an explaination somewhere in physics, but it seems strange to me.

My lib commie Congressperson, Cynthia McKinney, also believes this garbage. We threw her out once (after her campaign manager/father made some anti-Semetic comments) but she got back in.
Now that the industry (books, mag articles, TV guest shots, websites, etc.) devoted to Jimmy Hoffa, Kennedy (JFK & RFK), Pearl Harbor, Waco, OKC, and so forth has died down, the conspiracy nutcases are moving on and adopting 9/11 as their new source of money and celebrity.
It's a big cycle: this guy writes an unsourced paper/book/article, quoting some other guy who wrote an unsourced paper/book/article, which quoted some other nutcase - and they all get money and celebrity, maybe tenure at some university, maybe even quoted on GC.
It just can't be taken seriously. What has the Jimmy Hoffa, Kennedy (JFK & RFK), Pearl Harbor, Waco, OKC, etc. industry ever proven?

This so-called "nut case" happens to be a very well respected Senior Physics Professor at Brigham Young University - a university that has one of the best Physics departments in the country.

I'm not much for conspiracy theories in general, but has anyone explained why the other buildings were destroyed?

I thought that when the two towers collapsed, it registered on the richter scale, which led to damage in numerous buildings in the area (but that might just be the media feeding me garbage at the time).

2640 feet (each tower was roughly a quarter mile high) of steel and concrete collapsing is sure to do some serious collateral damage in and around the neighborhood. 7 WTC took quite a bit of structural damage; uncontrolled fires in the structure finished it off.

Wouldn't that be a half mile high? (5280 ft/2640) Or, are you saying a total of 2640 between the two towers?
Anyway, that makes sense to me as well, but the way the buildings collapsed sure looked like planned implosions. I've heard those explainations, but do think there's some room for doubt.

I suspect he'd give up all "respect" for an hour on Jerry Springer or Al Franken.

I'd hold out for an hour on "Millionaire" or maybe "Jeopardy"
Springer might hit me with a chair, and Al never takes a listener's call.
