ATO Delaware gives up
U of Delaware Frat Folds
NEWARK, DE-November 9, 2005 - It's the end of the road for a University of Delaware fraternity.
The Alpha Tau Omega fraternity chapter has dismissed its lawsuit challenging its suspension for alcohol and safety violations.
The fraternity house on Courtney Street is going on the market and the chapter has folded.
The university suspended the chapter this year – a few months after an 18-year-old student left a party at the house and was struck and killed by a train. The woman's blood-alcohol level was nearly three times the legal limit.
