Quick Question

I just found out my younger cousin went Sigma Sigma Sigma and I wanted to send her a little gift. Any suggestions on what I could get that would be somewhat Sigma related?

Congrats to your cousin! What chapter is she joining? Per your question, as you know our colors are royal purple and white. Our flower is the purple violet, our jewel is the pearl, and our symbol is the sailboat. So really anything with those themes should work. I hope this helps!

I do not know what price range you are looking at, but a lot of my sisters have a really cute silver sail boat necklace that is really cute! I am sure that a lot of online stores carry it for a decent price.

You might want to check out www.alphahouse.com. It is one of our official vendors and they have some very cute things.
I know I have a sailboat keychain that I still use all the time and when I was in college the ID holder was used everyday.

Congrats to your cousin! Hope she loves Sigma as much as you do Phi Mu

It all depends on your price range. You could go to a dollar store and make her a vase- I made one for a girl in my chapter. A tshirt with the Sigma letters on it would be cool. Like ihearttrisigma said www.alphahouse.com has a lot of really cute Sigma items and it isn't overpriced. Check them out! Also, think of what you like that is Phi Mu related and get your cousin something that is similar for Tri Sigma. Good luck!

I echo what everyone else is saying...I'd suggest going with sailboat stuff! You can never have too much!

Also, since it's almost Halloween, it is a good chance to stock up on skull & crossbones stuff, even though I know not all chapters use it as much as mine did!

Thanks for all the help! I found an adorable picture frame with a silver sailboat on it and a cute little candle votive holder decorated with sailboats.

Another random question, do you guys use the skull and crossbones a lot or is it more just an official symbol?

The skull is more like a secondary symbol. We don't recognize it as much as the sailboat.

I think it depends on where you are at as to how you recognize that skull-and-bones. I know that at my chapter it was up there with the sailboat. As a matter of fact, my pledge class shirt had a huge skull-and-bones on the back! We really liked to where it etc.

Actually I do have an extra. It is not our "class shirt" but it is almost the same. Our sisters wanted our "class shirt" but it was kind a Class of 2002 thing so we made some different ones that look almost exactly the same. It is a medium if you want it; I got two in case anyone ever wanted to trade shirts. PM me if you want it...I will mail it to you!
