Need help for alum gift ideas

Ok ladies, I need some advice from you all-I would like to do something for the ladies in the ac group who wrote me rec letters-something more than just a thank-you note ( which I'm still going to do as well). I'd like to get them each a small gift, but I'm stumped. Here's my ideas, let me know what you think-please!!

1) I saw some very cute ornaments on the national website that I considered-but as an alum, do you want to get more stuff with your letters on it? Like, would that be a better present if you were still in college? I know that I love getting ornaments as gifts, but that's just me.

2) I thought about getting them each some of the sorority flowers-but that could be pricey-and for other reasons I won't say here, I don't know if I'll be able to get them.

3) Would a gift card to a spa be nice? We all go to the same one, so I know which one they like-but is that too blah? I had thought that maybe I would so something sorority related-but I don't know.
What would you guys like to get-or what have you gotten from ladies you've written AI rec letters for?
I'm kind of sweating it, because our next event is on Thursday and I'd like to give them thier gifts and thank you notes then.
I appreciate all your help!

i like the ornament idea, but i'm like you and like them! my family & neighbors always did ornament exchanges when i was a kid. i think it would be nice, especially since it is close to Christmas decorating time. since they are active with their alumnae chapter and are writing recs you, they will most likely appreciate sorority related gifts.

gift card to the spa would be nice too!

if the flowers are hard to find and can be pricey, i would not go after that idea.

i'm not much help, i know.

I love the ornament idea. There is a seller on Ebay who sells great porcelin ornaments with the dorority crest on them. I have purchased from her twice and they are great quality. Here user id is Lilgatlin and here is a link to her current auctions:

She is a great seller and the ornaments are really nice and inexpensive.

Spa day is very nice--- consider that perhpaps not all of your sisters are Christian and may not have use for an ornament....

The spa is a very nice and age-appropriate idea for an alum.

Or why not have a tea at your home as a thank-you?

Get coffee mugs using one of the sorority's colors and fill it with sample sizes of their favorite tea, coffee, or candy. Tie a bow on the mug with other sorority's color(s). Add tissue, gift bag, and thank you note.

Also Jenn, please empty your mailbox. Thank you.

I like the idea of a spa day, too - or even just a manicure or such. Your sponsor(s) probably don't expect anything except a thank you note (or, they shouldn't!), so any small giftie is just fine!

I cannot thank you guys enough for all your help!! I still haven't decided, it's between the spa day and the ornaments. I'm leaning towards the psa though-because who doesn't love that??

Wrigley, my pm box is cleaned out-sorry.

I think the spa thing is cool, I would love to receive something like that.

Also, like the coffee mug idea.....it's a good way to get something tailored for the individual, but maybe not too pricey either (if you are on a budget like me, these things are important).

Spa days sound great...what about an arrangement of scented candles with pretty ribbon tied on them in your colors? I love to go to the dollar store and make baskets with candles, teas, lotions...you never know what you can find!
Good luck,
Jamie
