				Kashi Go Lean

Anyone who eats this stuff...is there a way to fix it (warm it up/let it sit with milk in it, etc...) so it doesn't feel like you're chewing on uncooked rice and fiber tablets???

I usually let mine sit in the milk while i go feed the kitty and make coffee.. this way its a little better, not so hardf and carboard-y.
sometimes ill add a few raisins.. that helps.

lately ive been eating the go lean crunch which i like better than the regular go lean.

sometimes ill skip the milk and put a fat free plain yougurt in the bowl and put the cereal on top. light and fit fruit flavored yogurt is good too.

hope that helps |

I second the yogurt idea, but make sure you're using yogurt that doesn't have High Fructose Corn Syrup. HFCS is a sugary syrup that does nothing but add calories!

				Optimum Slim

If you can find it, pick up a box of Nature's Path Optimum Slim. It has the same amount of fiber and protein as Kashi Go Lean (although with fewer calories), and it tastes much, much better.

Why would you eat something that tastes like uncooked rice and fiber tablets?

Personally, I like it. Oh, you might want to check out the Bear Naked granolas, too.

Well, I thought I would try it and I was really looking for ideas not to waste the rest of the box. It's not really that bad tasting it's the texture that kills it.

The Heart to Heart is really good!
I'd opt for mixing in yogurt - softens it a bit and adds some flavor!

 | Yes, but they're not as high in fiber/protein, and they have way more sugar than Go Lean. The thing about GoLean is that it helps you stay full for longer, therefore, you eat less in the long run. That's why they market it as a "weight management" food.

I ate some of that Kashi Strawberry Fields once and after I got over the sugar shock, I wanted to eat again an hour later. Your mileage may vary, of course. |

I actually like the taste of it, so I'm not much help. The Go-Lean crunch is also really good.

Kashi Heart to Heat (the ones that look like cheerios) is the only one I like. It does taste good too.

 | I love the Go-Lean crunch. It's so good, especially since I can only have low sugar, high fiber cereals.
