I think its a given that Ms. Jones will get the gold. But on the World Level competition is tough, so she might NOT get her 5.
Besides that, no other event is as interesting.

So far, the U.S. has had a pretty successful time in Sydney. The baseball team and swim teams have been outstanding to date.
The U.S. basketball teams are winning, but the games are closer than people thought they would be.
What do you think of the Olympics so far?

Peace & Blessings
Well, I am completely disgusted with the U.S. women's gymnastics team.
I was rooting for my favorite gymnast, Dominique Dawes..but, they just couldn't pull it off.

The US Men's Basketball Team beat Lithuania by just 2 points (85-83). Is the rest of the world catching up to us or is this Dream Team underachieving?
Also, I think Marion Jones deserves much respect!
She won the gold in the 100m and 200m.
She won the bronze in the long jump.
AND the relay races are next!!!

The performance by the US B-Ball team, I think is not due to the fact that the rest of the world is catching up, we still run the show.
I think it can be attributed to their attitude towrds the Olympics. There wasn't the same enthusiasm as there was in earlier years. And, in the age of Platinum, who wants gold anyways.
As I watched the game, I noticed a lack of organization, drive, and determination from these NBA stars. I think that they feel that they have nothing to prove, now, and so they try less. They cannot really value a gold medal when it almost seems like a guarantee.
