I'm SOOOOO with you! I've had webs all over my car every day for the last 2 months. There was a point where every night I'd see a spider on the inside of my windshield or the outside. They were kinda bigger and white. And then one day I was leaving work and I opened my door to find this HUGE white and yellow spider in the door crevice so I made my mom drive up and we tried to kill it but she somehow lost it. (long story) We found one possible nest but we can't find any others. I haven't had a spider in my car or on my car in a few weeks but I"ve still had it covered in webs.

Good luck with the spiders; I hope they aren't as big as the picture.

I find the occasional spider in my apartment & as long as its not a black widow/brown recluse (which I kill) I usually escort them outside (on a piece of paper.) I hate them just as much as the next person but I like how they help kill other annoying insects.

My friend Nate has a beautiful rose-haired tarantula that looks kinda like the one above in the picture. I guess after handling Rosey a few times I'm not as squeamish as I used to be!

Ok, how can you tell the difference from a brown recluse and a "regular" spider? I know that they have this violin shape on them, but I'm too scared (and grossed out) to look that close. I see spiders around here all the time, but lately I've been seeing spiders that are brown and BIG (I usally see small black ones). Me hopes they are not brown recluses.

My friend has "sprickets" (I think they're really called camelback crickets, but they look like a cross between spiders and crickets) in his garage, and I HATE THEM. Another friend has them in the crawl space outside of his house, adjacent to the back porch. We'll just be chillin', enjoying a cold one on the porch and then BAM! SPRICKET ATTACK. They're horrible.

Brown recluses are native to Kentucky (not just Kentucky) & because of that you learn to recognize them very easily. The violin mark is pretty dark & can be easily seen in the right light. Although if you've got any doubts its better to just kill it. Then have your house sprayed. Where there is one there is likely to be more!

My apartment is infested and has been since we moved in. The landlord told us it's our responsibility to take care of them. Luckily their only Daddy Long Legs, but they're still gross and annoying and make my house dirty with all their stupid webs. Yuck! Any suggestions of how to get rid of them? I bought a new spray over the weekend; here's hoping it works!

Have you tried glue boards? Put them against the wall behind couches, under beds, in the kitchen, near doors & windows, etc. It'll catch much more than your daddy-long-legs spiders!

I don't like spiders either. I have a garden level apartment so they've been pretty plentiful. I bought some hedge apples the other week at the Farmer's Market and put them in a few different rooms and I haven't seen a spider since. My old roommate and I found what she thought was a wolf spider in our old apartment last year. She bought some spider-killer spray and sprayed the crap out of it.

the only good spider is one away from me or under my foot with a shoe. hate 'em.
