Computer Mouse problems
I'm about to throw my mouse out the window. I have a Microsoft USB Intellipoint mouse... the one with the red lights underneath and no rolly ball thingy.
I keep changing the double click settings so that you have to double click really fast to open something. The problem is that even just with a swift single click on the left button, it double clicks automatically. And it won't highlite things for me, like if I'm trying to copy/cut and paste. It's driving me crazy. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Try reseting everything to default settings, and see how that works. I have an infared mouse too (logitech) and I've never messed with the settings on it, so that's about as much as I can say on that. But resetting usually does the trick.

I have the same mouse and have had no problems. Maybe you have a defective one.

I've had it for about 2 or so years so I doubt that's the problem. It's so frustrating.

Okay, mine is much newer. Maybe it is just time for you to buy a new one.

I agree with this. Sometimes the defaults just need to be reset.
Or you can just throw the mouse out the window... new ones aren't too expensive.
