Exclamation Working ON your house or apartment!

Are any of you handy, such as being able to constructively use hammers, saws, power tools, etc? My daddy was big on insisting that I learn to use power tools, and I helped him build my kitchen, etc.

But now that my daddy is gone, this would be a project on my own. *shudder* I'd like to install beadboard paneling in the main bathroom, and have even printed out the instructions, here. I think I can do it, but I'm really, really worried about the wall around the commode, sink, mirror, and lamps.

Has anyone done this? Is it hard? Any hints? Or, should I swallow my pride, and have a handman do at least the hard wall? Help!!

HC, if you have specific questions, PM me. Mr amycat, when not acting, is a carpenter. AND my best friend installed her own bead board, so I can ask them for you.

Oh but I bet mr. amycat would say let a handyman do the hard stuff, cause I vaguely remember him doing custom cuts for a bathroom recently...

I had that feeling! I'm comfortable with installing a flat wall, but not so much the one that would need all the "cut outs"!

All of the material is ready to go - but I haven't had the time to put it up yet. Because of the two microbursts that hit my house & yard, I've been busy taking care of the necessities! I really, really need to spend like a month, fixing up my house & yard!
