New CSU-Pueblo Alumni Website

Hello Brothers,

Our active chapter has been getting smaller every semester, so, although our Alumni base is only about 70 brothers, we have really stepped up to help the Active Chapter out.

Right now, our Alumni Association has paid off the entire outstanding balance owed by our active chapter, recruited a great new High Pi, and is actively involved in the development of the chapter (all the while, still letting them develop on their own.)

Our new website is www.lcadoalumni.com. We have started creating shirts, hats, etc as a fundraiser for the Alumni and Active Chapters.

If anyone has any other ideas for our Alumni Association, I would love to hear from them. (Sometimes its nice to get advise/thoughts from "outside" brothers.)

ZAX,
Chris Turner

Way to go - nice to see Delta Omega hanging in there. However, the website only shows "Under Construction!"

My best friend is Delta Omega 002.

Also met another active of your chapter marching in the Blue Knights this summer.

Keep the faith, guys.

Guys,

The problem is the extra "dot" trailing the address. Try it this way:
www.lcadoalumni.com
and it works.

Hey Guys!

Otter, thanks for the words of encouragement! Ahh, D.O. 0002, what a great guy! He has really been helping us get the active chapter back on track and the Alumni Association founded.

We are having an Alumni Golf Tourney in 2 weeks and are expecting somewhere around 25 Alumni from our chapter! Currently, we have about 70 Alumni (on the books) but only about 1/2 are really active.

Right now, our biggest concern is helping the active chapter have a strong rush week/recruitment.

I'll keep you posted!
ZAX,
Chris Turner

How bad have things gotten for the Delta Omega chapter, are there at least 10 men left in the chapter?

Thumbs up

Chris We forget, welcome to GC. You could not have found a better Site to get help and encouragement from LXA Brothers.

Many times, Alums are the forgotten Members unless there is Help Needed. As always there are a Core Group of Alums who are there to help aid the Chapter.

You have met two on GC from Phi-Tau, Lenoxxx and Ottor.

My Chapter is in the direst of states and as Lenoxxx asked hope you have at least 10 Active Memberes.

I and am sure All of Wish You the very best of luck in getting The Zeta rebuilt. Sounds like Your Alums are doing the same thing that We did.

With a crappy old house and not done soon enough as I said We are in a serious situation and Hope You can get it turned around at D O Zeta!

Hey Tom and all other LCA Brothers,

Thankfully, our active chapter doesnt have a house. We were only chartered in 1996, so we are still a novice chapter. Therefore, we dont have the huge debt to worry about.

Right now, the Active Chapter is at 7 guys, but we are hoping to get at least another 5-10 during this semester's rush week (and then hopefully put at least 5 through ritual.)

The Active Chapter was in some financial trouble with International's, but thankfully, the alumni was able to come up with the cash to pay off the debt (before they had to report to a committee in Maryland.)

The great thing is that our active brothers are strong. They know how to lead and with the help of our alumni base, I am hoping we can keep the zeta going in the right direction.

I'll keep you posted!

Chris Turner

D O Zeta has great alumni - I know several of them, and work next door to #2.

There is nothing those brothers won't do to help out their chapter, and other chapters as well.

#2 was instrumental in getting Northern Colorado recolonized/rechartered. There is no way I could have done it without him (even though he'll still swear it was all me - it wasn't - he did the "heavy lifting" - I did the torch-bearing). I have yet to meet a better brother than he, and I know many awesome brothers in this fraternity - he is in a league all his own.

No question!

D.O. 0002 has been instrumental in getting our alumni chapter off the ground. When we were in a little bit of a bind, he called a dinner meeting and gave us the "Bick" speech that we needed to hear.

He never focuses on the negative and instead of handling "problems" he handles "challenges." This is a man that knows all about loyalty and the importance of a good family name!

What a small world that we choppers live in. It makes my day to see other posts about a great Alumni of Delta Omega!

Thanks LCAAlumn!

ZAX,

Chris Turner

The Bick Speech

LOL - haven't heard that one in a while.

I've seen the Bick speech a few times.

His coaching background makes him uniquely suited for the roles he is in.
