In spite of what you are told by the unions and Bush-haters, and I haven't heard Ross Perot whining about the "giant sucking sound from Mexico" lately, the US has more workers than ever, higher income per family, and a higher standard of living than ever before. The feared Mexican trucks have not been killing Americans in droves, and Wal-mart is opening more and bigger stores in Mexico.

Buying stuff from these low-wage countries keeps US prices lower, and the wages paid in those countries will improve their standard of living.

The CAFTA countries are very tiny, and represent only one percent of our trading volume, so all of the bitching about CAFTA is mostly hot air.

Question

Where does it say that there are more Workers in America?

So, The Dept. of Some Federal Agency says so?

What most if not all people do not realize, is that these figures come from the unemployment rolls.

When people run out of unemployment benefits, they are then removed throwing the curve out of whack!!

And as The President of Mexico so said, that Americans Need Mexican Labor as even the blacks dont want to do some of the work, FOOPAH for sure.

Holding prices down dont really seem to be working when Oil, and Utilities keep going up.

Wal-Mart, they hold companies feet to the fire to get better prices and can bankrupt them if they dont do a Major ass kissing job on Walley World. They have put more Small businesses our of business because they cannot afford to compete with them. Small Town USA is dieing.

Personally, I love lower prices. Is there some group lobbying for higher prices that I haven't heard of?

If I know what I want specifically want, I'll go to a big box like Wal-Mart or Home Depot and get a good price. If I'm buying something where I need to check out several models, touch and feel it, and need advice or help, I'll go to the local hardware or specialty store, get some personal stroking, and knowingly pay a little more.

I love the freedom to shop where I want, and for Wal-Mart to do anything ethical to lower prices.
