Dark Water

Got to go to a preview of Dark Water last night and it was sooo good! Jennifer Connolly was amazing, as always

Anyone planning to go see it this weekend?

Glad to hear that you thought it was good.

I saw the original version in Japanese about 3 years ago and I almost shat my pants...even more than I did when I saw the The Ringu. I just hope the American version is just as good.

The author of both novels has a fetish with young kids and water, I think.

hahaha....i think you are right

I liked that this version of Dark Water had a different director than the original...Walter Salles really brought a lot to it

will you go see this version to compare it to the japanese one?

Most definitely. Hopefully I remember details of the Japanese version. It's been at least 2 years since I saw it at the Hawaii Film Festival!

I really did not like it. It wasn't scary to me (although the Ring is still terrifying...I'm kind of a big scaredy cat), but the acting was great. I felt like I sat through this big long movie with no payoff, little character development, and storylines that didn't go anywhere. It made me have to pee (all that WATER!!) and it was like the non-scary horror movie that would never end!

But I'm glad other people enjoyed it. Liking a movie is always good, considering the amount of crap that gets put out there.
