The justice system is brutal in Warren, Ohio! Ray Crawford, a former wrestler at Howland High wrestler was sentenced last week for his role in a nasty hazing incident back in November of 2004. As you may recall, Crawford and another older wrestler were accused of holding a freshman teammate down--while they were naked--and then proceeding to take a turns rubbing their private areas on the kid's forehead. For his trouble, Crawford was fined a whopping $100 and will serving a whole two days confinement in a local work-release program. The other attacker got off even easier: he gets to take part in a "diversion" program and if he can keep from using his penis as a weapon for a year the incident will be wiped from his record. Surprisingly, the parents of the victim are working on a civil lawsuit against the school district, the wrestling coach and the two attackers. They claim the school failed to vigorously enforce a policy prohibiting hazing. To this day, Howland High School officials have not acknowledged the incident.
