If it's the same website I went to, then yes, there's no catch. I signed up for Maxim and Stuff subscription and was given 2 years. I was never charged anything and received an issue every month, and because it's almost up, I'm getting renewal notices in the mail now.

WhiteDaisy, could you email me at oohteenywahine at aol dot com? I'm just curious. Thanks!

Sure thing!! You get one free subscription just for joining, if you refer friends you can get more points toward other subscriptions. It takes 5 points to get a subscription and you get 4 points for every friend you refer, so it's pretty easy to accumulate more subscriptions.

I didn't see any catches in the "fine print" - I'll e-mail you the stuff.

you don't even have to refer people to get these magazines for free. I get probably about 15-20 magazines for free a month. I keep an eye on a website called slickdeals.net, they have a forum for free magazines. I get Stuff, Maxim, FHM, Spin, W, Bazaar, TV Guide, Shape, Allure, Vogue, Conde Naste Traveler, Budget Living, a couple Caribeean cruise and vacation magaines, etc. All for free and never having to play the whole referral thing, that's BS. Magazines fairly regularly give away subscriptions b/c they make their real money from advertising.

^ Dude, that's just not cool coming into a thread that I started to try to get referals for yourself. Start your own thread. You suck dude.

Ehhh... whatever works for you. I'd rather not pester people and spam to try to get referrals. But that's just me.

Uhhh...last I checked she wasn't pestering anyone on GC, nor was she spamming anyone. She's very well aware of the site's TOS and those interested could PM her if they wanted to. If not, then no big deal.

Brandon, that's lame, dude. But honestly I'm not all that surprised.

Didn't say she was spamming, but when you've gotta do those referral things, you have to pester someone eventually. There's a way to get magazines for free without all that work

^Dani - e-mails (besides the registration confirmation) from the company, and I've ordered five magazines...plus, looking around the web site, it's actually a REALLY cool place to shop online (like if you are looking for a book, it'll compair B&N, Amazon, and other book companies) so you can find the best prices.

Daisy - To refer someone go to your account page and look towards the bottom...it'll show that you got 5 points for registering and 0 for everything else. Click on refer and it'll show you where to refer people.

I went to that site you mentioned, and most (if not all) the links were dead ones.
