Due to assorted causes -- two fights (one at a party, one at the student union), and hazing-- Purdue (in Indiana) has taken several disciplinary measures, according to an Associated Press story on the online April 20 '05
Indianapolis Star:
Kappa Alpha Psi - de-recognized for at least 5 years
Delta Sigma Phi - probation until September
Phi Beta Sigma - probation through December
(The three above were for things related to fights.)
Delta Tau Delta - probation for one year
Sigma Nu - probation for one year
(The one-year probations are for hazing. In addition, a non-Greek group, the Chauncey Cooperative, also got a year's probation for hazing.)
Sounds like quite a lot of problem behavior recently at Purdue.
