Alpha Xi step?

Have any of you participated in a step show?
Our chapter is doing alittle thing for the greek week variety show. One of the bglo groups is teaching us alittle routine.

We are having a blast with it, but I was wondering if any of yall had done this or seen other "white" glo step and what was the reactions of others?

Every year the KAPsi's at my school would hold a step show and send two brothers to each sorority to teach them a step and a routine. It was always a popular show, and a lot of fun!

One year the step show was w/in a week of Greek Week, and several of the sororities used their step in a brief portion of the skit for Greek Week's skit night. Each group that did it got lots of screams from the audience - they loved it!

I don't see why anyone would have a problem with it, esp. the BGLO that's teaching it to you!

My chapter has practicipated in a step show. We did it last year and it was cool. But there are other fraternties who are AMAZING!! We got our step from a sister who had gone out east and they taught it to her out there. When we did ours the other organizations actually told us that they we amazed and could believe we could do so well, our only flaw was the length, but other than that we did good.

Georgia State has a chant that can be done to a step. They made it up for a step show or some sort of skit. They are in downtown ATL, so this is not unusual. One of the sisters, Hillary, taught it to everyone at Regional Officer Training. See if you can get Hillary's email from Delta Xi's President...she's awesome and will definitely help you out.

We had 10 out of the 24 sisters participate in the step, it was a 7 minute act. We started out with doing country line dancing in flannel shirts and then we change them music and took off our shirt and had tanks and ripped up shirts. We did good, we place 2nd overall and 1st Greek. We also won the tourch race and are currently building our chariot. Pictures of the week will be up on the website on sunday. We are on our way to winning Greek Week!
