Yellow Shirts

So we have cute colors, emerald green and gold aka green and yellow. The only time the are problematic is during football season because i'm a packer's fan and I would like to enjoy a beer with the game.

When you make a shirt dark green costs more cause they usually have to do more to make the ink show, so then if you want a shirt which colors match ours, you end up w/yellow or the ever neutral white.

which is better, yellow shirts or white shirts? I personally look horrible in yellow and thus dislike yellow shirts, but I'm curious to the general thought.

(work is kinda slow)

I don't like yellow shirts b/c they are always bright yellow, and then you get noticed and stand out, lol.

I like white b/c then you can blend in more and everything.

I actually have a lot of black AST shirts with yellow and green on them, I like black more than white, lol

I wear way too much black.

Just remember if you wear a white shirt, do NOT wear a bright colored or black bra underneath, b/c you can see through white shirts.

Neither, IMO.

Yellow doesn't work because it's too bright and it's too hard to see things on the shirt.

White doesn't work well either because it shows stains too easily.

But, like mmcline, I have a lot of AST shirts in either gray or black.

i have ast shirts in black, as well as green. yellow isn't bad if you go for the colors they call maize, goldenrod, or even straw. or some variations thereof. white is the only color I am not so keen on. besides - what's wrong with standing out with a yellow shirt? isn't that a good thing????

I look okay in yellow, but not the greatest. This is the reason I don't wear very many yellow shirts.

I love bright shirts (including yellow)!

For my bid day, we got purple shirts that say "Alpha Sigma Tau" in white in a cute font (hearts in the letters).

This year's bid day, we got pink shirts that say "AST" in Greek on the front and on the back have a brick chimney outline design with the national founders' names on the bricks. Below that, it says, "Alpha Sigma Tau - laying the foundation for the best chapter in our lives!" (Which works out great, since we will now be initiated this April!)

Speaking of AST shirts, I am in a red one right now with green letters with ladybugs and white daisies on them (the matte is marigold). Have a great night / spring break everyone!!! Tau love to all!

I have AST shirts in every color: pink, blue, green, white, yellow, black, grey, and they all look great. It really depends on what shade of the color you choose. My yellow shirt is more of a goldenrod, while the pink and blue are both baby colors. It's all up to the individual person tho.

Very few of our shirts were actually green and gold. And the ones that were, were actually a dark greek, and a "gold" sparkly color, or a flat gold, sort of bronzy color. We HATED kelly green and yellow, so we made sure to phase as many of those out as possible. We also adopted the local color purple, so we have lots of green, gold and purple. As for screen prints, stick with a wite/black/ or dk green shirt.

Talking

I forgot to mention - I have some black AST shirts with green-yellow-white screenprinting on front & back that I designed last fall. The front has "AST" in greek (yellow and green) on the left pocket area (no pocket on the shirt) and the back has the same design on the back - bigger - with the words "Friends By Chance, Sisters By Choice" in white.

People have mentioned it's commonly Sisters by chance, friedns by choice, but I swtiched it up because it made more sense to me!

They were a group effort for the Big Sisters of the Delta Omega and Epsilon Delta colonies to send to our Littles. I got stuck with a few....some of which I was able to send off on ebay!

You can pm me if you are interested in what sizes are left and what the costs are!!!!!
