I thought I'd start a thread where we can post job opportunities that we know of in our areas. Feel free to let anyone you know who is not a Deepher either, but looking, know about these positions. You don't have to post the name of your company/agency if you don't feel comfortable, obviously. So with that said, let me start:
The program I work for is looking for another Social Worker. MSW degree is required, and a strong background in mental health and substance abuse is highly desired. This position also requires fieldwork. On average, expect to visit 3-5 clients per day in their home. The position is full-time with full benefits. Our office is located in Jamaica, Queens right near the E train. All of the clients live in the boro of Queens. We are also looking for a F/T RN. Strong background in psychiatric nursing is desired. Both positions pay pretty well at the competitive rate here in NYC if I do say so myself. My agency also has a ton of entry-level Case Manager and Counselor positions that are ideal for new grads located in the boro of Queens. Internship opportunities do exist, as well.
