New Movie Coming Out...

Anybody going to see DIARY OF A MAD BLACK WOMAN tomorrow?
It looks like it will be very good based on the previews I have seen. Today, I heard the author (aka Madea) say on the Tom Joyner show that it's similiar to the play but there are a lot more surprises in store.

I just wished they could have picked a better light skinned brother than the dude with the braids from SOUL TRAIN / Young and the Restless. He's just so feminine looking. We've been strategically planning our come back since 87, but I think a guy like that will set us back another 15+ years.

Anyway, tomorrow, I'm going to see it.

I'm going to check it out on Saturday!! I am eagerly awaiting the movie.

BobbyEarl, I heard Tyler wanted to cast you but he was afraid your masculinity would be too overpowering.

Flattery (or sarcasm) will get you EVERYWHERE with me .

That's ok. Tyler doesn't have to cast me. "We gone make a comeback" anyway... in the name of our great leaders, MAX JULIEN and AL B SURE!

I suspect this will be a very good movie. Have you ever seen any of his plays?

I'm going to see the movie tonight with my BEST friend who's coming up to visit for the weekend. We're going to rewatch the play before we see the film.

I haven't seen any of his plays in person. However, I have seen them on video. They were great. I particularly like Madea's Class Reunion.

A woman (I think Madea's daughter) asked Madea how can you tell if your man is cheating on you. Madea said, "Hell, if you're asking, he done already cheated."

I also like when Madea talked about the difference between 20, 30, 40 and 50 year olds. Tyler Perry is a very talented brother who seems to have been influenced HEAVILY by strong black women in his life (probably more from his grandmother). I can't wait to see the movie tonight.

I've seen Madea's Class Reunion and Madea Goes to Jail live. My fave play is Diary of a Mad Black Woman.

You know Tyler is from New Orleans, right?

You and me both!! I could not stop crying for like 10 minutes. This will definitely be an addition to the DVD collection.

It came in as #1 this weekend!!! Even though we are in separate cities, my mom and I saw the movie togather. Such a good movie, I will definitely go see it again in a few weeks when less people are in the theater.

I cheered when Charles walked to the front of the church as I bawled.

I did ROFLMAO though when he was in the tub blowing bubbles. LMAO

Congrats to Tyler Perry!!! The bathtub scene had me crying with laughter. I still wish Shemar could have a new 'do. I talked about it every time he came on screen.

According to a CNN article, he's a native of Atlanta.

I went to see it on Saturday, but the first 3 shows were sold out! I'm trying not to call my "middle man".

Tyler's next movie: Madea's Class Reunion
