Total Closure

I searched this topic before.....but most of the threads had specific topics.

How do you know whether or not you have closure with a past friendship or past relationship?

Like a year and a half later I still get upset when someone talks about the ex. But I really thought I was over it. And then I have a guy friend who every week says "its done. I"ve got closure."

But just yesterday my roommate found out her ex-bf broke up with his gf. And I said "well, since you didn't talk at all before maybe you need this time for closure." But she just looked at me and said "what is closure?"

So I guess thats my question: what is closure?

James probably has something to say about this, don't you James?

Closure? When you can look back upon something without longing for it at all, perhaps even with a touch of nostalgia—that’s what I would say. I don’t know if it’s always something that happens, or has to happen.
