I Just Checked My Catalog!
Brother Tom,
I just checked my catalog and I have a listing of 103 Lambda Chi Alpha items and 27 Theta Kappa Nu items in my collection. Since some are "lots," I probably have around 150 items in total.
I am very proud of my Warren A. Cole items that include his personal 1929 History Book, an original C&C, PG&Gs, Alpha Zeta Newsletters, chartering packets for various Zetas, Jewelry Catalogs, and various family household records and accounts. Almost all of these items were purchased from an estate sale a few years ago. Most are annotated or contain comments in his own handwriting including a stray signiture or two.
I am probably one of the few members of our fraternity who displays our flag in his home office!
I would say that I am in "eye shot" of about 15 Lambda Chi or TKN objects as I type this reply!
Yours in ZAX,
Mike Raymond, ZU-Zeta

Although my objects are not as historically relevant as yours Doc, I always keep a few LXA keepsakes around. Most are just pictures or homemade stuff. I can count 5 in my computer room.
(6 if you count the LXA forums on my screen )

Wow guys.
I have two paddles and a hand drawn COA (drawn by me.)
Oh...and my initiation certificate and alumni of the year award.
That's it. In a closet somewhere is a COA blanket, and I used to have a large Sigma-Omega needlepoint (since cleaned up, a copy (updated) made, and both donated to the chapter).

This is a very complicated question.
I am quite proud of the Paedagogus collection which now numbers 31 editions (be the first on your block to collect them all!), including the elusive 1972 paper interim version.
The framed musical score of "Theta Kappa Nu Girl" hangs on the wall, as do three different Forms 25 from pre-'39 to present.
I was very lucky to obtain a badge made in 1913 by Hoover & Smith of Philadelphia, an old gothic arch pledge pin, and a pearled TKN sweetheart pin (same size as an AM button). Fate smiled on me after I donated a prototype post-'39 pledge pin to IHQ by finding me another one for myself. These have only 3 triangles instead of 4.
But most meaningful are the 2003 Paedagogus inscribed to me from our most recent High Alpha, the 1992 History of Lambda Chi Alpha inscribed at length by Chuck Peyser, and an old chapter newsletter with a blurb saying I accepted my bid January 16, 1972.
Oh, and the Radio Shack hands-free portable Earp-phone for those tri-weekly 3 hour conversations! That's definitely a LCA item!
In ZAX,
Jono

Earp-phone
Jono,
I think the "Earp-phone" trumps us all!

Hmm, I have so much stuff in boxes and on shelves I
couldn't begin to catalog it. But here are a few things:
- 8x10 composites from "my time"...one from Gtown and one
from Vandy (I'm High Phi on both).
- original membership certificate
- an "appreciation" plaque I was given at the chartering
of Gamma-Delta Zeta (for being involved).
- two paddles (one from GT, one from VU)
- a pyramid (gotta list something NEW...nothing BLUE tho! )
- my Paed. (only one)
- TKN stuff I have at home, including some of the chapter's
archives: badge, ring, alum recog button, League & Covenant
of KY-Alpha, CoA Plaque (formal dance gift), membership
certificate, Fall 1928 Ed. of THETA NEWS (with article about
our chartering), 2 pledge manuals (1930 & 1937?), copies
of ritual (2 or 3 editions)
- 2 membership directories (last 2 published)
- R W&W
- though they aren't in "my home", I see them almost
weekly at the chapter house 2 blocks away: 2 5' CoA's
that I painted, one on the door (1987, needs to be redone)
and one in the house (2004).
That's all I can think of now.
Oh yeah, and a most-coveted item: a copy of The History
of LXA from the early 90's!
Would like to have a 3'x5' flag, but you have to get those
hand made. My step-mom's a seamstress....hmmm...what
should I ask for for Christmas next year?

Kevin,
Check the HQ website under "Collegiate" and then "Lambda Links". There is then a link to official vendors. You might be able to find a banner/flag there.

I like to contribute even though I've just begun, haha.
So far, I have two t-shirts, my paed., my big bro/little bro brick, and soon to have a belt buckle.
My big bro told me that my sis (when I meet her) will spoil me, haha. So, we'll see until then.

Wow
Well, as a person who fancies himself a collector of memorabilia I have to say that I'm overwhelmed by Tom's list.
As far as Lambda Chi Alpha items here's all I have... I feel so inferior!
1. Four paddles from little brothers
2. Fall 1996 class paddle (they considered me their class educator!)
3. Pair of Lambda Chi Alpha bar glasses that are kind of cheaply made
4. Lambda Chi Alpha shotglass
5. About 12 party/rush shirts (I was the guy who had them all made)
6. Two shirts from the Arizona chapter (now closed)
7. My letters!
8. Candle with a Coat of Arms on it
9. My paedagogus!
10. North American Food Drive shirt from Fresno State (also closed)
I think that's it. I used to have a cool ceramic mug that I lost some years ago. I had my license plate frame for years until I was rear-ended by a drunk driver in 2001. That also took my window decals.
