Pi Kappa Phi Shot in Leg (UNC-Charlotte)

http://www.news14charlotte.com/conte...=84808&SecID=2

A man was asked to leave a party at the UNC-Charlotte Pi Kappa Phi house; he then shot one of the brothers in the leg. Sad news, but best wishes for a speedy and full recovery for the PiKap who was shot.

Incidentally, is it just me or are we seeing a lot of incidents of fights, attacks, etc. (but not necessarily shootings) stemming from people either being asked to leave or being turned away from fraternity parties?

I'm surprised mightymike didn't post anything about this. He got called about 2:45 this morning to go out there (this is his chapter).

It's really very shocking, esp. for Charlotte.

What we're worried about is that the chapter was on social probation already, so they weren't supposed to be having a party, and then this happens. So I'm sure he'll have an update or something for us later.

There isn't much more to be said about the incident that hasn't already been reported in the local (Charlotte) news. Brother Jordan Robert Taylor was treated at Carolinas Medical Center and was released earlier today. Our thoughts go to Brother Taylor as we all wish him a speedy recovery.

I would like to take a moment to commend the Brothers of the Delta Lambda Chapter of Pi Kappa Phi for their composure and courage to handle the situation.
