Unhappy DZ Missing in Omaha, Nebraska

This last week Omaha, Nebraska, like many cities in the Midwest, was hit with a huge snow storm. It seems that a Delta Zeta and her boyfriend got disoriented and lost in Sarpy County outside of Omaha. Here's a few links to the news stories. The Delta Zeta's boyfriend's body has been found, but they're still searching for the girl. Janelle was a Delta Zeta at Creighton University, and some of her sorority stisters have helped in the search and recovery.

Just thought I'd share

I pray that Janelle is found safe - maybe disoriented, but at least safe. God be with her and her family as the search continues.

I hadn't heard about this, either. One of my chapter sisters goes to Creighton...I'm worried about her now, too.

Update:

They still have not found Janelle's body, but they held a candle-lite service at St. John's in her name. The Delta Zeta Sorority is commonly mentioned in the article.

I'll say a little prayer. Perhaps when she is found we could get our chapters to send her chapter something. We had a sister die suddenly from a pulmonary embolism right on campus before finals last year, and it was great to hear that the other DZ chapters were there for us during our loss. We also all wore our chapter letters to her funeral, with a black longsleeve shirt underneath (our homecoming shirts happened to be black longsleeved shirts that year so it worked out great!).

That was very thoughtful of them! Sorry to hear about your loss as well.

Unhappy

I have unfortunate news to forward on. They have found the body of a female in a ravine and though it hasn't been said officially that it is Janelle, chances are it is her.
I feel very sorry for her family and friends. Such a tragic loss and at a very young age.
